Are you working on losing weight after pregnancy? I've been there done that a few times and know that it can be a challenge. So I would like to share a few tips.
1. Give it time. It is very normal to take at least 6 months to lose those extra pregnancy pounds. There are some women out there that are back in their prepregnancy clothes within weeks of the birth of their baby. That is not the norm. Don't compare yourself to them. That may only create frustration, making losing weight after pregnancy even harder. Relax.
2. If you are nursing your baby, then you are doing something that is not only great for your baby, but for your health as well. Nursing burns up more calories, and also helps your uterus get back into it's normal shape.
3. Adjust your portion size. During pregnancy your appetite may have increased. That extra food helped that beautiful baby of yours to grow strong and healthy. It also helped you put on a few extra pounds. If you are still eating the same way you did when you were pregnant, that may also be the reason the weight is not coming off. Time to go back to eating for one.
4. Believe in yourself. You don't have to accept those extra pounds as normal. You can lose the weight. Believing in yourself is one of the most valuable tips I can give you. Everything you accomplish begins with a belief that you can do it. It is what motivates you to reach your goals.
Losing weight after pregnancy comes easy for some, for others it is a struggle. Either way if it is something you really want you can accomplish it. I believe in you.
To your success and happiness.
